Job Description

Project Manager(Precision Manufacturing) Based in Perry Barr areaThe successful candidate will be required to ‘hit the ground running’ and quickly understand the key challenges and opportunities. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and driving strategy and comfortable balancing both short and long-term resultsQualifications and Experience

  • An experienced project manager (degree or equivalent educated) holding a formal qualification in project management, either APMP or Prince 2 certified.
  • Experienced in managing projects in an engineering and manufacturing setting.
  • High levels of IT Skills are essential to this role, the Project Manager will be proficient in MS programs; including MS Project, Excel, Word and PowerPoint
  • Working knowledge of Advance Product Quality Planning (APQP) is desirable
  • Key Duties including, but not limited to:
  • Leading customer meetings relating to project, ensure proactive engagement with customer including regular site visits where required.
  • Coordinating and leading teams between departments including Engineering, QA, Procurement, Supply Chain and Manufacturing.
  • Ensuring that manufacturing is aligned to project requirements
  • Creating, delivering and maintaining project work plans to ensure on time delivery of projects. Identifying resources, assigning responsibilities and managing performance on project deliverables using in-house APQP (Advanced Product Quality Planning) process Ensuring management, maintenance and completion of project documents.
  • Ensuring appropriate storage, distribution and maintenance of project documents.
  • Tracking, monitoring and meeting financial obligations of project.
  • Collating and submitting timely project status reports to stakeholders.
  • Managing and prioritising tasks using project management tools (Action Tracker, Gant Chart, Governance, Lessons Learnt, 3C, Risk Register etc).
  • Ensuring continued communication and good relationships with external and internal customers.
  • Reporting and escalating issues to management where appropriate.
