Food Health & Safety TutorSalary Range: £30,722.81 - £37,059.79 (inclusive of London Weighting)Location: Islington, LondonJob Type: Full-time, Monday to FridayWe are inviting applications for the role of Food Health & Safety Tutor within the Offender Learning Sector in the London Borough of Islington. This is a compelling opportunity for an individual who is passionate about education and community improvement.The successful candidate will mentor learners to enhance their Food Health & Safety skills, aiding their future employment prospects post-release. The role is based on-site and requires a candidate with patience, passion, and understanding.Day to Day of the Role:• Delivering high-quality, learner-focused vocational training in Food Health & Safety.• Mentoring learners to develop their skills and knowledge in the field.• Collaborating with a team of professionals to provide comprehensive support to learners.• Engaging with learners to motivate and inspire them towards achieving their educational goals.• Adapting teaching methods to suit the diverse needs of learners within the prison environment.Required Skills & Qualifications:• Significant experience in Food Health & Safety.• A minimum of 2 years of experience in the relevant vocational area.• Willingness to gain a PTLLS qualification within 6 months.• Commitment to obtaining an assessor award required by relevant Awarding Bodies within one year.• Possession of at least a Level 2 qualification in Literacy and Numeracy or the commitment to achieve this within 1 year.• Ability to obtain, hold, and maintain a clean, enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check.Benefits:• The opportunity to work in a role that makes a positive contribution to the community.• Support for professional development and gaining necessary qualifications.• Being part of a supportive and dedicated team.• Structured working hours with an early finish on FridaysTo apply for the Food Health & Safety Tutor position, please submit your CV detailing your relevant experience and qualifications.
