Our major client is looking for new Part-time Poultry processing operatives to join their their plant in the Penicuik area. £9.50 Per hour.The shifts pattern is: Monday 7am to 2pm, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday 7am to 12pm. Tuesday off. TOTAL of 22 hours a week (can accomodate 20 hours for Students with Tier 4 restrictions).We are looking for DAYSHIFT workers to start this week and the following week.All PPE & overalls are supplied.The candidate would ideally have some experience in food processing but its not essential as training will be given. Good manual dexterity is required and being comfortable with working on feet. Also, due to remote location of the plant and early start, the job would be most suitable for candidates who own a car or stay quite close to the plant.The main goal of the plant is to conduct research on food and animals as its a part of an institution dealing with animal fare and food safety. The job involves different duties and positions such as cleaning, packaging, operating machinery and using scales to weight the poultry, but also using knives to cut poultry. Candidates must be ok with handling chicken carcasses. Therefore, there is contact with meat and a requirement to adhere to food hygiene and health and safety measures.
