Job Description

Laboratory Assistant, Pencaitland, £11.50 per hourWe are recruiting for Laboratory Assistants to work at our clients site in Pencaitland.

What to expect as a Laboratory assistant:

6AM-2PM and 2PM-10PM shift rotation
Working Mon-Fri (some Saturdays required)
Following various procedures
Testing the barley samples at different stages
Recoding results to ensure smooth operation of product to site and weighbridge
Operation of weighbridge to include processing barley loads into site
Sampling and testing of barley loads - including computer, physical and sensory checks
Raising any quality concerns with Management for second opinion
Calibration and maintenance of lab equipment, including making up tetrazolium stains
Providing general support to site operations

Previous experience in a production environment or transferable skills from a different environment
Excellent attention to detail
