Variable Permanent Contract.. 18 Hours per week, Term Time plus 5 days.Pegswood Primary School serves the area of Pegswood village and is supported by a friendly community with happy, enthusiastic children.Pegswood Primary School has 158 children on our mainstream roll and a further 20 children in Nursery. In our recent Ofsted inspection in June 2022, we remained as a good school.We are currently part of the Ashington partnership and work closely with other primary schools in our partnership.The governors are looking to appoint a highly motivated and enthusiastic Higher Level Teaching Assistant to join their very successful team.You will be required to work closely and effectively with the other members of the school management team and the school governors. Experience of working in a school environment as a higher level teaching assistant is essential. The job description is wideranging and challenging but equally offers variety & stimulation.The successful candidate must: Hold a valid certificate/ qualification to be an HLTA Have experience in leading a class Have experience of covering teachers PPAFurther details can be found on the attached job description and person specification.The position will be over three days a week, the hours each day are 08.30 to 15.30 with an hours lunch.
