Job Description

We are currently recruiting for aTIGWelderto workPM Shiftstojoin a global manufacturer based in Wellingborough. Offering great benefits such asovertime, shift premium and fantastic staff benefits.ThisTIGWelderrole ispermanentworkingthe following shifts:40 hours per week.16:00 - 01:15 Hours Monday to Thursday withhour lunch break12:30 - 17:30 Hours FridaySalary:£30,792per annum + 15% shift premiumAs a TIG Welderyou will workwithin a highly skilled and qualified welding team using a variety of jigs, fixtures, welding plant and manipulators to assemble and weld a wide range of coriolis mass flow instrumentation to exacting standards. Other duties willinclude:

  • Evaluate and interpret drawings to be used in the preparation of the product to be manufactured
  • Carrying out inspections prior to welding
  • To carry out basic assembly related work such as expanding, pressure testing, helium leakage testing as required
  • Support up/down stream of welding
  • Support customer inspection activity
  • Highlight and communicate any minor faults which may arise which may cause delay to production
  • Ensure work is carried out to exact tolerances
  • TIGwelding on Steel to a high standard
  • Perform TPM and preventative maintenance tasks on equipment and fixtures
  • To maintain all welding equipment / hand tools in good working condition and keep the welding bays tidy / organised in line with company housekeeping standards.
We are keen to hear from applicants with the following skills and experience:
  • Proven experience of TIG welding within high technology production / manufacturing company
  • Experience in welding stainless steel to a very high standard
  • Production experience
  • Good speed and accuracy of welding
  • Experience of reading manufacturing drawings / specifications or work instructions
  • Enthusiastic, self motivated, with the abilityto work unsupervised
