Job Description

We are currently recruiting for aProduction Assemblerto workPM Shiftstojoin a global manufacturer based in Wellingborough. Offering great benefits such asovertime, shift premium andexcellent staff benefits.This Production Assemblerrole ispermanentworkingthe following shifts:40 hours per week.16:00 - 01:15 Hours Monday to Thursday withhour lunch break12:30 - 17:30 Hours FridaySalary £28,965 + 15% shift premiumAs Production Assembler, You willprovide a high quality, efficient assembly and testing service within the production line team. Working within an experienced team, you will use a variety of production assembly tools and bespoke processes / inspection toolsto assemble a variety of instrumentation to exacting standards. Yourduties will include:

  • To carry out the pre-braze assembly duties including, Braze Pasting, Ultra Sonic Cleaning, and inspection
  • To carry out all required welding work
  • Perform TPM and preventative maintenance tasks on equipment and fixtures as requested.
  • To assist in development of new production methods, to assist in improvements to the present product lines or development of new products.
  • To work in accordance with Health & Safety procedures as set out by the company, especially regarding Manual handling and PPE.
  • To assist Production engineering department in developing and maintaining assembly shop floor documentation
  • To maintain all assembly tools and keep equipmentin good condition
We are keen to hear from applicants with the following skills and experience:
  • Some formal training or, practical / theoretical knowledge of general engineering and / welding and assembly
  • General interest in engineering, assembling and factory production operations
  • Minimum level 1 in MIG or TIG welding
  • Good speed and consistency of assembling and related jobs
  • Experience reading manufacturing drawings / specifications or work instruction
  • Enthusiastic, self motivated, with the abilityto work unsupervised
  • Strong interpersonal skills and team working
  • Excellent accuracy of work
