Job Description

Opus Teach is a supply agency that is wholly owned by Suffolk County Council. Opus Teach is the recommended provider on the Suffolk Jobs Direct website for Supply Teaching across Suffolk. Opus Teach is currently recruiting for more supply staff due to thehigh demand over the last academic year.Opus Teach want to speak with permanent teachers, supply teachers, newly qualified teachers, early career teachers, teaching assistants, HLTAs and all kinds of education professionals including Qualified Teacher Learning and Skills status (QTLS).Opus Teach provide supply staff to over 180 schools across Suffolk using our unique online booking system and thorough vetting process.Supply staff can earn anything from £80 to £170 per day depending on their previous experience. Opus Teach use the main teacher pay scale as a guild for our pay rates.Opus Teach Supply Staff be expected to:

  • Be responsible for the learning and progress of all students in allocated classes, ensuring equality of opportunity for all
  • Treat students with dignity, build relationships based on mutual respect, and always observe boundaries appropriate to a teachers professional position
  • Be responsible and accountable for achieving the highest possible standards in pupils/students work and conduct in lessons
  • Work collaboratively and effectively with learners, other staff, parents/carers, governors, and external agencies in the best interests of students
  • Take responsibility for safeguarding the welfare of children and young people within the school.
Opus Teach Supply Staff will have:
  • A honours degree in an age range/ subject(s) relevant to the job role
  • Qualified Teacher Status, recognised equivalent (QTLS) or relevant experience
  • Successful teaching experience within the age range and subject(s)
  • A passion for teaching and ability to deliver the best
  • A enhanced DBS registered with the Update Service
  • Evidenced accredited safeguarding training (Completed within the last 2 years)
