Do youThis is an exciting opportunity to support the delivery of ambitious plans to attract, recruit and admit a diverse cohort of students to University of West of Scotland (UWS) through outstanding student recruitment practices.We are looking for an outstanding individual who can lead on our domestic and RUK student recruitment, and drive our ambitions in the area of widening participation.The post holder will lead and manage the UWS domestic and RUK schools and colleges student recruitment and applicant enquiry / conversion team. You will lead development of creative and compelling recruitment plans and activities across the UK - in schoolsand colleges - as well as leading UWS widening participation activities in pursuance of UWS student population targets. Key to this will be strong leadership of the team and an absolute commitment to delivering highly focused and target driven performance.Our ideal candidate will:

  • Be educated to degree level or equivalent.
  • Have significant experience of working at a senior level in student recruitment within higher education and in leading high performing student recruitment teams.
  • Ideally have a broader understanding of marketing and communication achieved through experience in other student recruitment related roles in higher education.
  • Ideally have some experience of working in a target driven commercial environment, and be able to build on that experience in the higher education market.
  • Have strong leadership capability - an ability to develop and lead a high performing, customer centric and target driven team.
  • Be a problem solver who can work with colleagues to deliver solutions and overcome barriers to change.
