Job Description

School of Education & Social Sciences Paisley CampusSchool Administrator - REQ110Grade 3: £23,144 - £25,742Full-time 35 hours per week THE POST - School Administrator The School of Education & Social Sciences is seeking to recruit an experienced and highly organised School Administrator to provide a full range of professional, efficient and effective administrative and secretarial support services across the School.Working directly with the Divisional Co-ordinators, the School Education & Quality Officer and managers within the School, the position provides a wide range of support to Postgraduate and Undergraduate programmes across the three Divisions within the School.The role will include dealing with student enquiries via email and in person, working with large excel data reports, termly reporting; minute taking at a variety of committees and formal meetings; knowledge of finance systems; travel booking and right to workchecks. In addition, working as part of a flexible team, you will assist with PVG checks and tasks to ensure that Quality process requirements are met.You must be a proactive team player with excellent organisational and planning skills. You must have the ability to plan under your own initiative based on the annual academic cycle and work to specific deadlines. With drive and enthusiasm, you will be accustomedto operating within a busy environment. You will be proficient in IT and Microsoft applications with a focus on attention to detail and accuracy.The successful candidate should have the following:

  • HNC/SVQ level 3 or equivalent experience, or have relevant, practical work experience
  • Relevant administrative experience within a busy office environment, with experience of task management and prioritisation of work withing a team environment
  • Experience of identifying and resolving problems, liaising with other departments or staff where necessary
  • Experience of updating and maintaining records and processes
