Job Description

Campus Services Paisley CampusTHE POST - Residence Service ManagerThis is an exciting opportunity to join the University of the West of Scotland at our Paisley campus.As part of Campus Services, the post holder will be responsible for leading the Residence Team, ensuring that all matters relating to Residential services are managed effectively and in line with operational requirements. They will direct the efforts ofboth the in-house team and external contractors to ensure that residents are afforded the best possible service in a safe, welcoming, supportive and pleasant environment which facilitates academic and personal development.The post holder will be responsible for budgetary control and be required to monitor and manage income, expenditure and forecasting. They should be fully familiar with relevant HMO legislation and plan, co-ordinate, manage and integrate summer school activitywith ongoing student residential activity. Working within our Residence Management team requires the post holder to co-ordinate and share information with other University departments and form part of the On Call’ management team rota to provide out of hoursand weekend support to our students within the Halls of ResidenceThe successful candidate should have the following:

  • Qualified to degree level, or relevant experience.
  • Experience of working in the University Accommodation sector is desirable.
  • Relative experience and track record of working in a commercially driven, customer orientated role within the Accommodation sector, with significant and relevant leadership, team and change management experience.
  • Experience of welfare/disciplinary procedures within university halls of residence.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Excellent customer service skills.
