Job Description

Estates DepartmentPaisley Campus (with multi campus service delivery)THE POST - Plumber (Trade Technician) This role will support the Technical, Facilities and Project Teams to deliver a high-quality customer focused planned preventative and reactive maintenance and repairs service which provides a secure, safe, comfortable and attractive environment which meetsthe needs and expectations of all customers stakeholders, staff, and students (facilities users) across a complex and ever-changing environment. The post holder will ensure that the campus is maintained to a standard that ensures legislative compliance. Theteam are responsible for maintaining, developing and upgrading a range of installed infrastructures, equipment and services, power, environmental and building management controls across a range of buildings and campuses.The successful candidate should have the following:

  • Educated to SVQ Level 3/HNC in building maintenance or equivalent trade/craftsperson related area.
OR
  • City & Guilds Qualification/Apprenticeship in trade related area or time served and approved craftsperson/apprentice or equivalent demonstrable experience.
  • Experience of providing a professional and customer focused planned preventive and reactive maintenance and repair service.
  • Experience in building maintenance services.
  • Demonstratable experience in works in one of the following trades: Joinery, Plumbing, Painting and Decorating.
