Job Description

Pertemps are recruiting for a HR Advisor to work with a Glasgow based client on a temporary basis.Pay Rate: £37,831Hours: 37.5 hours per weekLocation: Paisley (PA2)Start date: ASAPContract length: 6 Months initiallyKey Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for providing specialist professional and operational HR advice and coaching support to managers and staff.
  • Support the identification, development and management of workforce issues and major change initiatives ensuring the operational Regional HR objectives are agreed, achieved and compatible with corporate HR and agreed priorities and policies.
  • Contribute to the delivery of the strategic vision and priorities of the Region, ensuring compliance with, and implementation of, corporate HR initiatives.
  • Advise and support the Regional Director/Deputy, Heads of Service, Area Service Managers, Team Leaders and representatives from Regional/local Partnership Forum regarding general and complex employee development, recruitment and employee relations issuesas they directly affect staff. Ensuring Regional and corporate HR policies, procedures and terms and conditions are correctly interpreted, communicated and applied consistently and fairly across the Region/Organisation.
  • Advise and guide managers in the management of complex interpersonal problems, conflict management, change management and service re-design issues, providing specialised HR advice to promote high quality employee relations in line with Regional and corporateHR strategies.
  • Provide HR and Organisational Development advice and support (in conjunction with wider HR specialists and more senior HR staff where appropriate) to the Senior Operational Management Team and Partnership Forum in order to deliver a culture of change andways of working that are in line with National HR Strategy and PIN Standards.
  • Participate in and, where appropriate, take a delegated lead HR role in national implementation groups to deliver SAS objectives in line with the corporate HR Strategy and Staff Governance Standards. .
  • Produce reports, research evidence and gather data for senior managers on a regular basis, understand and interpret the data and advise on solutions to complex problems. Identify underlying trends and issues and make recommendations.
  • Contribute as a professionally qualified member of staff to the wider activities of the HR team.
Key Skills:
  • Educated to degree level or equivalent experience
  • Significant experience in an operational HR role
  • Comprehensive understanding of complex concepts, legislation, case law, HR practices and policies.
  • Excellent communication and facilitation skills
  • Well developed report writing and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work on own initiative and as member of a team.
