Job Description

University of the West of ScotlandJob Title: Governance Co-ordinator - REQ000059Paisley Campus THE POST:An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Office of the Vice Principal (Governance) & University Secretary at UWS. The Office of the Vice Principal (Governance) & University Secretary has responsibility for a range of key University functions includingsupport to the University’s governing body (the Court); the Senate; Legal Services; Risk & Resilience; Graduations and other high profile celebratory events.Working as part of a small established and welcoming team, this is a varied role mainly providing support on a range of activities in relation to the University’s graduation ceremonies, to the University Court and the Senate as well supporting some datacompliance activities. Training will be provided.The successful candidate should have the following:

  • HND/SVQ Level 4 or equivalent or have relevant practical administrative experience in a customer focused environment;
  • Be a dedicated team player who can also use own initiative to resolve day to day operational issues;
  • Be an exceptional communicator, both verbal and written
  • Have excellent organisational skills with high level of attention to detail
  • Be proficient with a range of Microsoft Office packages
  • The ability to deal with highly sensitive information and respect confidentiality.
