Campus Services Ayr/Lanarkshire CampusFacilities Team LeaderSalary £26,445 - £31,396Full time 35 hours per weekPermanentTHE POST - Facilities Team LeaderThe University of West of Scotland is looking for a Facilities Team Leader to join their campus service team. The Facilities Team Leader will have overall responsibility for the day-to-day operational management and delivery of a high quality, customer focusedand efficient facilities and grounds service ensuring that the University and its grounds remain in good order and to provide a secure, safe, comfortable and attractive environment which meets the needs and expectations of all customers.As a Facilities Team Leader, your responsibilities will include:

  • Ensure the team are providing customer focused service.
  • Assist the Facilities Manager in creating processes
  • Manage and monitor the ground and garden care
  • Manage the Campus assistants, ensuring a safe environment for the staff and students
  • Plan and prioritise own workload aswell as the large functional team
  • Coordinate helpdesk requests, and managing where required.
The successful candidate should have the following:
  • HND in related subject area or relevant experience
  • Valid First Aid at work, or willing to achieve this within a timeframe
  • Experience working within a customer faced Facilities or Estates service
  • Excellent Communication skills, both verbal and written
  • IT skills
  • Knowledge and understanding of Health and Safety at Work act
  • Experience working within a Higher Education environment
