Job Description

School of Computing, Engineering & Physical SciencesDivision Coordinator - REQ000066 THE POST - Division Coordinator The School of Computing, Engineering and Physical Sciences is seeking to recruit an experienced and highly organised Division Coordinator to become a key member of the School’s Service Delivery Team based at Paisley campus.In this busy role you will provide a comprehensive administrative service to the Head of Division, academics and students across the Engineering & Physical Sciences Division. The post is integral to the smooth running of aministrative processes in the Divisionwithin the School. The post holder will have responsibility for key areas within the Division such as Committee Secretary to the Engineering & Physical Sciences Division Board, Assessment/Exam Board management; External Examiner administration; exam paperpreparation/coordination and dealing with student enquiries.The successful candidate should have the following:

  • Educated to HND and/or have relevant and practical work experience, preferably in a higher education environment.
  • Commitment to continuous personal development
  • Experience in a busy office environment, preferably in an academic setting.
  • Experience of providing a high-quality administrative service to colleagues preferably in an academic setting, thereby assisting in ensuring a high-quality student experience and creating a positive image of the School and University
  • Experience of working with staff at a variety of levels across a large organization
  • Possess intermediate IT skills and be able to demonstrate heightened attention to detail with the ability to work to changing priorities.
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to plan workload under your own initiative.
  • A flexible and adaptable approach to work is crucial as is the ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Experience of formal minute writing and committee servicing is desirable.
