It offers a diverse range of accredited undergraduate and postgraduate programmes and delivers knowledge exchange and active research projects across the portfolio.We are presently inviting applications for the post of Civil Engineering Technician, which will primarily provide technical support to taught programmes, research and commercial activity within the Civil Engineering disciplines. The postholder will be responsiblefor the provision of technical support ensuring the effective and efficient operation of a range of workshop and laboratory equipment.To deliver in this busy role you will have a broad-based knowledge of civil engineering equipment including the safe operation of equipment and machines related to civil engineering such as cement mixers, rock crushers and other material preparation equipment,knowledge and/or experience of surveying equipment including theodolites and levels would be advantageous. Additional in-house training will be provided as necessary. Experience of welding or forklift driving would be beneficial. The successful applicant maybe required to support general operations in other areas of the school.The successful candidate should:
