Job Description

We are seeking a full-time Research Assistant to work on a National Institute for Health Research (NIHR) funded project.The Project aims to learn lessons from the Grenfell Tower fire and the response of statutory organisations to the fire. The focus is on the mental health and wellbeing response which brought together the NHS including primary care, mental health services and the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea, the local authority. The research team will be led by Dr John Green at Central and North West London NHS Foundation Trust and involve academics from University College London, Imperial College London, King College London, Brunel and Cardiff Universities as well as from the NHS, Public Health and local government and service users.You will be involved with the Project Manager and with the research team in gathering necessary documents, conducting interviews and analysing results. You will be involved in preparing reports for NIHR and for publication including peer review publications with research team members. You will also be responsible for convening meetings of the research team, local community meetings and meetings of stakeholder bodies.You should have a minimum upper second-class bachelor’s degree in psychology, nursing or equivalent although a higher degree such as an MSc/MRes or PhD/MPhil or equivalent would be desirable. You should have previous experience of running focus groups, and analysing qualitative data, carrying out literature reviews, and disseminating study results.
