Locum Consultant in Diabetes and EndocrinologyCHARING CROSS, HAMMERSMITH AND ST MARY’S HOSPITALS Division of MedicineRef:290-LCONA553We are looking for locum cover for maternity leave for a consultant to see patients in Bariatric Clinics at the Charing Cross, Hammersmith and St Mary’s sites and to undertake Acute Medicine on the CX campus in the division of medicine. The postholder will be appointed to transform the delivery of patient care by the Diabetes and Endocrinology team and will be expected to have an interest in general medicine, Endocrinology and Bariatric Surgery. Metabolic medicine physicians will be integral to this post and will also be expected to lead the training and development of the Junior doctors in metabolic medicine and endocrinology.Metabolic medicine (including Diabetes and Endocrinology) on all sites is currently staffed by 15 consultants, 9 SpRs and the inpatient team consists of several other junior doctors. The post will be attached to Endocrinology in specilaist medicine as well as metabolic medicine in pathology.Non UK/EEA applicants should ensure that they are aware of recent changes to the immigration rules for Postgraduate Doctors and Dentists.
