Job Description

Decision Support AnalystGB News, the fastest-growing media brand in Britain, is looking for someone to join their team as Decision Support Analyst. With the department expanding due to high demand, this is the prime time for someone to start their Analytical career.What is the purpose of the Decision Support AnalystTo support the Senior Management Team (under guidance of the COO and Finance) in laying out decisions clearly for the Board, and tracking implementation once decisions are made.Key Duties & Responsibilities

  • To work with all SMT members to get their Board packs into the standard board decision ppt format adhering to the BLUF (Bottom Line Up Front) principle;
  • Working with the data/analytics team to get the dashboards for each team properly set up - i.e. illustrating their key metrics clearly;
  • Tracking and illustrating key decisions with analysis both before the decision to reach a conclusion and after the decision to track adherence;
Skills & Experience
  • High level of technical proficiency in Excel / decision modelling, PowerPoint, knowledge of Power BI would be helpful but not necessary;
  • Aptitude in presenting complex issues in attractive, easy to understand presentation format; "a picture speaks a thousand words" approach;
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills, someone who will be seen as credible and serious by senior management (understanding that this is a junior role and is more to do with attitude and intelligence than a long track record of professional experience);
  • An interest in business (and media) and the ability to learn and understand key business issues;
Other
  • Would suit University Graduate with up to 1 year’s experience in a similar or related role who is eager to learn and work within a dynamic growing media company;
  • Enthusiastic, can-do attitude with good attention to detail;
  • Trustworthy and able to keep company data and information confidential;
  • Will be based in Central London office five days a week.
