Job Description

Data Privacy SpecialistAn award winning digital transformation consultancy searching for the UKs best Data Privacy Specialist.   • Conducting Privacy Assessments: A Data Privacy Specialist assesses an organizations privacy practices to identify potential risks and vulnerabilities in their data collection, storage, and processing activities. They also review the policies and proceduresrelated to data privacy to ensure they meet legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Developing Privacy Policies and Procedures: Data Privacy Specialists develop and implement privacy policies and procedures that align with regulatory requirements and industry best practices. They also ensure that these policies and procedures are communicatedeffectively to all employees and stakeholders.
  • Managing Data Breaches: In the event of a data breach, Data Privacy Specialists are responsible for investigating the incident, determining the cause, and taking appropriate actions to mitigate the damage. They also work with legal teams to comply with anylegal or regulatory reporting requirements.
  • Providing Privacy Training: Data Privacy Specialists provide privacy training to employees to ensure that they understand their roles and responsibilities in protecting personal information. They also conduct regular privacy awareness campaigns to promotea culture of privacy within the organization.
  • Staying Up-to-date with Regulations: A Data Privacy Specialist stays up-to-date with changes in privacy regulations and standards, and ensures that the organizations privacy practices remain compliant with them.
Ideal Criteria for a Data Privacy Specialist:
  • Knowledge of relevant regulations and standards such as GDPR, CCPA, HIPAA, and ISO 27001.
  • Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • A background in computer science, information security, or law.
  • You will have qualifications in one or more of the following CIPM, CIPT, CIPP/E, CISM, CISSP, and HCISSP.
