A leading business, who are invested in their people are seeking to recruit a UK Operations Manager that will lead multi-sites in its safe and efficient operation for all warehousing and production activities. The role will have a key outcome to drive operational standards to meet high levels of customer service. The UK Operations Manager role is based in West Yorkshire, Ossett, Dewsbury, Wakefield area. This is a great location for people traveling on the M1 and M62 links. Main duties/responsibilities:* Determine product handling and storage requirements to develop warehouse operations systems* Develop processes for receiving raw materials & product, utilising, equipment, managing inventory and shipping product* Develop and implement effective warehouse layout that accounts for product flow, equipment and product handling systems* Ensure all Operations have the correct level of employees with the correct skills at all times in order to meet the requirements of the business* Sustain and develop team working and team-based problem solving* Contribute to creating and recommending strategic plans and reviews in order to achieve operational objectives* Prepare and implement operational plans based around customer service standards agreed with other departments* Resolve problems and identify trends* Forecast requirements, prepare annual budgets, schedule expenditures, analyse variances and initiate corrective actions in order to meet financial objectives of the operations* Develop protection and access policies and ensure security measures are appropriate to keep all Operations secure during work times and out of hours* Oversee the maintenance of warehouse buildings, grounds and equipment* Establish, follow and enforce safety standards and procedures in compliance with the companys Health and Safety policy and legal requirementsCompetencies:* An analytical mind, with attention to detail and an ability to interpret data for robust decision making* Ability to manage processes effectively* Ability to manage team members effectively* Data entry management & processing skills (ERP)* Effective reporting and communication skills* Ability to accurately analyse information* Detail-oriented* Deadline-oriented* Previous operations (warehouse/production) experience essential* Full Driving licence* Ideally B2B customer delivery experience* Be a coach and mentor to the function and wider business* An excellent communicator and influencer at all levels of an organisation* An entrepreneurial mind-set with a passion to succeed and challenge the status quo where value addingOn Offer:* £40000 - £45000* depending on experience* Plus benefits packageTo find out more and apply please send your CV to Carl Walker.Elevation Recruitment Groups Procurement and Supply Chain division work with a vast range of businesses across Yorkshire and Humberside, Lincolnshire and East Midlands regions.
