Job Description

Pyramid8 is delighted to be supporting a local building services group, that’s in its third decade of trading. As an established firm and a leader in its industry, its portfolio boasts several high street retails brands throughout the U.K. Due to businessgrowth, they are seeking a Mechanical Estimator to join the team in Wakefield.As a Mechanical Estimator you will be responsible for but not limited to:

Preparing estimates for mechanical projects up to £3 million.
Reviewing drawings, carrying out take-offs and pulling together material, labouring and subcontractor costs to produce a tender.
Negotiating with multiple suppliers and specialist subcontractors.
Preparing submission documents.
Working well under pressure to meet tender submission deadlines.
Producing profit forecasts.

To be considered for the Mechanical Estimator role you must have:

Be able to read and understand tender drawings and specifications.
Sound knowledge of all mechanical systems including< HVAC, plumbing and heating etc in both commercial and retail environments.
Excellent organisational skills and able to manage workload.

High numeracy levels and commercial awareness with a keen eye for detail.
