Job Description

A chartered firm of accountants in Wakefield are looking for a Trust accountant to join their team.Experience in working with trusts and personal tax is essentialMain duties:

  • Managing a portfolio of trust clients and ensuring that submission deadlines are met
  • Preparation of trust accounts and tax returns
  • Preparation of Repayment Claim Forms for trust beneficiaries
  • Dealing with the trust registration service and ongoing administration of trust matters
  • Completion of Inheritance Tax Forms for trusts
  • Training junior members of staff and reviewing their work
  • Dealing with the income tax and CGT implications on an estate, either informally or by preparing estate tax returns
  • Assisting the tax director with more complex trust matters on an ad hoc basis
  • Having a knowledge of the taxation of individuals
  • Attending meetings with clients and advising them on trust related matters
  • Ensuring that all money laundering requirements for the clients are met
This role is open to be a 3, 4 or 5 day vacancy, dependant on the candidates needs.Job type, Permanent, Full-time or Part-timeSalary: Up to £40,000
