Job Description

Finance AdministratorOssettPaying £21,500 per annumFull timePermanentDo you have administrative experience and looking for a new challenge within accounts Are you looking to work for a company with great employee benefitsA fantastic opportunity has arisen with our client based in Ossett,. The company are looking for a hard working individual to join their busy accounts team. The successful candidate will be joining a well-established team and reporting to the finance Supervisor.The main purpose of this role is to process transactions and to maintain and complete ledgers accurately. Full training will be provided however applicants will need administration experience.Key responsibilities:Purchase Ledger Register and distribute purchase ledger invoices Input invoices onto Sage X3 Reconcile supplier statements Respond to purchase ledger enquiries both internal and external Liaise with suppliers to maximise credit facility Email remittance advices to suppliers Post manual cheques onto Sage X3 ERP Generate and complete electronic payment runs Assist in the completion of purchase ledger at period endsSales Ledger Assist with customer queries Enter customer receipts and allocate to customer accounts accordingly Support credit controller with customer payments cash books Raise cashbook payments Post cash payments Assist with cash book queriesGeneral Assist with the opening and distributing of post Take Cheques to the bank as per department rota Assist with the reconciliation of inter Group transactions Cover during annual leave of colleaguesSkills Self-motivated with good organisational and communication skills A working knowledge of purchase ledger is desirable but not essential Have a good working knowledge of Excel and Teams Possess a good attention to detail Be able to work under own initiative and as an effective member of the teamThis vacancy is being advertised on behalf of Bagnall Hopkins Recruitment who is operating as an employment agency/business.
