Job Description

Role: Service ManagerBased: PeterboroughHourly Rate: £18-22* depending on experience and pay statusHours: 40 hours - Monday to FridayStart Date: ASAPDuration: Temp to PermOur client, a respected national charity who provide support, advocacy and safe housing to survivors of Human Trafficking and Modern-Day Slavery, is looking to recruit a Service Manager for their safe house within Peterborough.Synopsis of duties:

  • Full management responsibility for a 15 bed safehouse for women that are survivors of modern slavery and/or human trafficking.
  • Managing a staff team of approximately 3 Specialist Support Workers
  • Ensuringthat the service is being delivered correctly and to contractualobligations.
  • Staff management; carrying out supervisions and case management/audits.
  • Build and maintain solid working relationships within the service and with other organisations andagencies.
  • Promote the service and ensure clients have access to all available services and working closely with a range of partners, agencies and services
  • On-call once a month
Essential Requirements:
  • Experience ofmanaging services that deliver support to vulnerable adults, ideally within an accommodation-based service.
  • Be able to demonstrate extensive knowledge and experience of supporting victims of abuse and/ or trauma.
  • Ability to manage crisis, safeguarding and complex casesituations.
  • Enhanced DBS and must have been either issued within the last twelve months or be registered on the update service.
