Transport Allocator

Job Description

The RoleWe have a great opportunity for a Transport Allocator to join our team at SG Building Distribution Limited, based in Graham Plumbers Merchants, Manchester. This role is 40 hours a week Monday-Friday. To efficiently coordinate and allocate to branches the day to day distribution of the areas delivered sales orders in a timely and cost efficient way, whilst managing associated administrative tasks to enable transport operations in a legal and safemanner, operating at both a hub and wider Family area team.What are we looking for

• GCSEs (or equivalent) - Maths & English
• A minimum of 1-year experience in an administrative environment with a high throughput
• Relevant market/product knowledge
• Relevant experience within the building industry and/or logistics background
• Ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team
• IT literate (particularly Excel)

What will you be responsible for(but not limited to)

• Contribute towards excellent customer service experience and work towards Branch sales and profit targets
• Understand local market issues and communicate to Mangers to support sales growth plans
• Deliver key KPIs for your Area
• Analysis of compiled data from standard reports within existing databases
• Work with Inventory Manager on Family stock movement and profile
