Job Description

As the Business Development Manager, you will work closely with the company executive board and be responsible for planning and carrying out proactive sales activities in order to maintain and grow the company Education and SME client base. One of the key roles you will have is to ensure a high level of quality new business is won, to maximise the revenue and profitability of each account. You will need a strong background in Education and SME level new business sales and be able to evangelize around innovative market-changing solutions.The successful candidate will join a growing company that specialises in providing cloud services and solutions to schools, the wider public sector and businesses.Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Identifying, developing and securing new business opportunities within the Education and SME sectors
  • Developing goto marketing strategies working with internal teams and company partners for products and solutions
  • Develop and utilise social media platforms to increase the companys online presence
  • Provide effective pre and post-sales support to our customers
  • Understanding and adoption of existing company systems, ensuring the Commercial Team works compliantly
  • Personal Qualities:
  • Excellent interpersonal, numeracy, literacy and communication skills
  • Experience of working in IT and/or telecoms channel
  • Experience working with Education and other public sector clients
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills
  • Optimistic and positive attitude when engaging with partners and colleagues
  • Proven ability to multitask and prioritise under pressure
  • Self-starter
  • Good listening skills
  • Accuracy and attention to detail
  • Skills Required:
  • Excellent knowledge of the Education sector
  • Excellent knowledge of technology used in the Education and SME sectors
  • Excellent presentation and demonstration skills
  • A proactive approach to business generation
  • Strong negotiation skills
  • Strong bid writing skills
  • Strong organisational skills
  • Ability to work well within a team
  • Basic working knowledge of contracts, terms and conditions and the ability to negotiate standard and non-standard terms and conditions
  • Ability to understand and interpret complex information and requirements
  • Willingness to travel
