Job Description

Tender ManagerOur client, one of the world leaders in ship-to-ship transfers and a major supplier of premium quality marine products around the globe, are currently seeking an experienced Tender Manager to join their team.This is a full time, 9-12 months maternity contract, located in Oldmeldrum / remote. Our client offers hybrid working.As the Tender Manager, you will lead the Product Line Tender team, and are responsible for, and shall contribute to achieving the goals of the Product Line by, preparing high quality tenders consisting of cost price, execution methodology, terms and conditionsand risk analysis for the Product Line.Requirements:

  • Ideally line management experience
  • Proposal / tender writing and pricing/estimation experience essential
  • Commercial and market knowledge essential
  • Degree or HNC qualified in either a Business, Engineering or related subject
  • Experience in a BD, Sales or Commercial function in Renewables (Offshore Wind).
Key Responsibilities:
  • Under the leadership of the Head of Tendering, Energy, have oversight and responsibility of all the Product Line’s tendering activities, ensuring a consistent and comprehensive approach to all submissions and client interactions.
  • Leading the Product Line Tender Team with full responsibility for managing, delivering and winning tenders.
  • Will sometimes be actively involved in writing and pricing tenders as Tender Manager during busy periods when required and additional temporary resource not available.
  • Under the leadership of the Head of Tendering, Energy, ensure that the standard tendering processes and procedures are followed within the Product Line, and that appropriate systems, e.g. CRM, are kept up-to-date and all tender and sales personnel are trainedin their use.
  • Line management of the Product Line Tender team, taking guidance from the Head of Tendering, Energy.
