Job Description

Treasury Accountant - £36,949 to £41,446 + Benefits - Oldham or Wigan (Hybrid role 50% home / 50%office and the option to condense 5 full days into 4 days) Our client is one of the largest service providers in the housing sector and we are looking for an experienced treasury accountant to join an ambitious and highly regarded treasury team. The role will be diverse and a key member of the finance team and willsupport a talented Head of Treasury in ensuring all requirements of the loan agreements are met.THE JOB: Main Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the financial planning process tool is updated for all subsidiaries based on current and future loan and cash requirements
  • Ensure all accounting information is accurate and timely to assist with monthly management accounts and the annual statutory accounts
  • Ensure there is an understanding of the commitments outlined within each loan agreement
  • Ensure all interest payable or similar fees are paid in accordance with loan agreements
  • Ensuring the treasury system is "fit for purpose" and looking at system and process improvements
  • Keeping updated with legislation, caselaw and regulations
  • Ensure all loans are drawn down, rolled over or repaid
  • Monitoring cashflow requirements to ensure liquid resources are available
THE PERSON:Ideally, you will be a fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or ACT) or be an active studier working towards a professional qualification. It is essential you possess strong IT skills and have a thorough understanding of cashflow management coupledwith excellent organisational skills. You will be able to communicate effectively alongside having a natural ability to challenge and improve current systems and processes.
