Job Description

Metalis are working closed with our customer in the Oldham area to fulfil the role of Quality Controller. They are a large, well established family company with a wide range of state of the art machinery and the ability to fabricate a number of products,supplying to a vast number of customers.The company have recently invested heaviliy in machinery and will continue to do so to stay ahead of the competition, offering quality products with short lead times for their customers.Job Duties: -

  • Inspection and quality control checks on sheet metal products to ensure compliance with company standards and specific regulations.
  • Regular PSI audits of production processes to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions
  • Monitor and document quality control data, including test results, production metrics, and customer feedback.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement quality control procedures and protocols.
  • Liaise with customers to investigate customer complaints or product issues, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions.
  • Train and educate employees on quality control standards and procedures
  • Maintain accurate records of quality control activities, including inspection reports, test results, and non-conformance reports
  • Continuous improvement tasks and owner of training plans.
The person;
  • Previous experience in a quality control or similar role is essential.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to identify deviations from quality standards.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to prioritise tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficient in using computer software including Excel for data analysis and reporting.
