Job Description

Key Account Manager (North)Location: Remote (Hybrid working from Oldham office available) Permanent, full-time (40 hours per week)Salary: Up to £35,000 plus commission (up to 35% of basic)Our client is a leading expert in the retail of electrical appliances, an established household name selling to UK businesses. They started in the UK over 30 years ago and quickly grew their reputation. Since then, they have remained true to their valuesand have kept their customers at the heart of what they do. They have evolved from small supplier into an E-Commerce business but remain fanatical about excellent service, quality, and sustainability.As the Key Account Manager, you will be responsible for managing a portfolio of existing accounts and for bringing on new business through category penetration. The role requires prospecting and winning new customers in the £100k-£250k spend category, trackingactivity via the CRM. The position involves completing bids with support from Sales Operation teams, building and qualifying a prospect pipeline, whilst delivering exceptional customer service. Over time, the role transitions to a greater emphasis on growthwithin existing contracts, so there is a requirement to build and maintain strong client relationships.Responsibilities:

  • Enhance the long-term retention and profitability of a designated account portfolio.
  • Secure new business opportunities with clients in the £100-£250k spending range.
  • Assume a leadership role for each account to fulfil the companys growth objectives.
  • Identify and capitalize on new business prospects within existing accounts, aiming to increase retention and discourage exits.
  • Boost sales, gross profit, and net profitability within each account in alignment with the companys growth goals.
  • Develop and implement business plans, incorporating strategic business development approaches in collaboration with customers to deliver solutions aligned with their and the organizations objectives.
  • Contribute to maintaining accurate and current customer records within the Account Plans.
  • Provide comprehensive after-sales support to solidify existing contractual business.
The ideal candidate must have previous experience in a similar role within a B2B sales environment. They will possess exceptional communication skills, self-motivated and able to effectively manage their workload, showcasing proven experience in successfullywinning and selling to large corporate or commercial customers. The candidate also needs to be proficient in Microsoft Office and be willing to cover areas in the North of England.So, what’s in it for you
