Job Description

We have a new position available for a Junior Electrical Engineer to join our Building Services Team in our Oldham office, to assist in the design and delivery of ongoing projects nationwide.The role will initially comprise:

  • General project administrative duties utilising Microsoft Office
    • Leading on to:
  • Design and co-ordination of electrical services
  • 2D CAD drawing and 3D Revit modelling and co-ordination of services
  • BIM delivery
  • Lighting design
  • Cable design and installation certification
  • Estimation and procurement
  • Project planning
  • Quality control
  • General project management
  • Site attendances
    • Microsoft Office, AutoCad, Revit, Relux, Dialux, Amtech Design & Certification, Extreme Estimating & Job Costing and Microsoft Project will be amongst the software packages utilised in carrying about the above duties. Prior experience of these software packages is not a pre requisite and in house and online training will be provided extensively, although some prior knowledge of one or more would be an advantage.The applicant should also be willing, if required, to undertake additional sponsored academic study through a part time HNC, degree apprenticeship or part time degree in a relatable subject (Electrical Engineering, Building Services Engineering, BIM & the Digital Environment etc.)We aim to provide the successful applicant with the opportunity to combine a mix of in house, distance learning, and academic studies and continued CPD development with mentoring by our senior engineers and project managers, to develop their skills and become an integral part of our team to successfully deliver electrical installations nationwide in the education, commercial, industrial and healthcare sectors.Salary negotiable depending on experience.
