Walters People have partnered with a leading business based in Oldbury who are looking for an experienced Finance Analyst on a permanent basis. This is a key position within the business which will be responsible for all the Reporting and Sales Controllingactivities for the Company.Key Responsibilities as the Finance Analyst:* Maintenance and operation of the Management Information and Reporting System and manipulation of large sets of data to create reports.* You will ensure that Sales and Cost of Sales is reported accurately, and that the underlying infrastructure of the ERP system is maintained and robust.* Ensuring Turnover is reported accurately and in accordance with the Company revenue recognition policy* Ensuring that Cost of Sales is reported accurately on a monthly basis* Maintenance of daily, weekly, and monthly reports for internal stakeholders* Manipulation of large amounts of data, data sets, and data cubes into useful management information to enabled informed decisions to be made* Liaison with Group Finance and Controlling ensuring tasks and reports are delivered on time and to a high standard* Creation of reports within Business Warehouse data environment* Maintenance and development of the Management Information System and Senior Management dashboards* Support the Management Accountant in preparation of the VAT submission* Maintenance of the Chart of Accounts, including creation of new cost centres and general ledger codesAbout you as the Finance Analyst:* A minimum of 5 years experience in a similar role, with experience of working with SAP and SAP reporting systems an advantage.* Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work as part of a busy finance team, as well as supporting other functions* Advanced excel skills including lookups, pivot tables, VBA desirable* Excellent presentation skills in both verbal and written form* The ability to convert large amounts of data into meaningful reports* The ability to prioritise tasks and manage workload* A pro-active, rather than re-active, approach to system improvement* Thorough knowledge of financial postings and stock valuation techniquesFor more information about this, or other finance roles please contact Robert McShane at Walters People on
