Job Description

Our client has a fantastic opportunity for a Commercial Finance Manager to join their team. They are a UK leader in the supply of refractory products and engineered equipment solutions for the Steel and Metals industry for nearly four decades.Commercial Finance ManagerDoncaster£45,000 + BenefitsThe Commercial Finance Manager would be responsible for the production of monthly and annual management reports and Statutory Accounts.This is a front-end role liaising closely with other departments to ensure timely and accurate information is presented to the senior management.Responsibilities for the Commercial Finance ManagerReporting into the Finance Director and leading a small team your Duties will include:

  • Management accounts preparation and analysis
  • Oversee/Review/Question full management accounts process
  • Analyse both the P&L and Balance Sheet
  • Oversee/Review of commercial contracts
  • Budgeting and Forecasting
  • Attend Senior Management Meetings
  • Management of cost model
  • Challenge budget holders on overhead spend
  • Oversee monthly management reporting
  • Provide support/ analysis on various commercial scenarios
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives
  • Various ad-hoc projects
    • The ideal candidate will have:We are looking for a fully qualified (CIMA or ACCA) Finance Manager who has at least 2 years’ post qualification experience working with the manufacturing sector. Other skills and attributes required include:
  • Full professional accounting qualification (CIMA or ACCA)
  • Outstanding Excel skills
  • Previous experience within a commercial facing role
  • Ability to subtly and directly influence others
  • Hands-on approach
  • Effective communicator
  • Positive and enthusiastic attitude
  • Excellent organisational skills
    • Summary & benefits:Monday - Thursday - 08:30 to 17:00 - 1 hour lunch breakFri - 08:30 to 14:00 - 30 minutes lunch break
