Job Description

Maintenance Supervisor - Mid DevonExciting opportunity to join a rapidly expanding company, based in Mid Devon as Maintenance Supervisor. This is a real opportunity to develop into an Engineer/Maintenance management role.You will be responsible forDeveloping a professional and proactive engineering service to the Company through best practice and operational excellence within engineering.Co-coordinating and leading the Production engineering team on site so that it effectively supports manufacturing by optimising resources, training and processes to deliver business targets and objectives.You will have:

  • Experience in managing and developing a team andworking knowledge of a FMCG environment.
  • Electrical / mechanical qualifications (ONC Electrical/Mechanical Engineering orHNC/HND Electrical/Mechanical Engineering or equivalent) and time served experience.
  • The ability to communicate effectively with colleagues and supplierswith good numeracy and literary and be confident in the use of computers and related software.
  • The ability to work constructively with others and on own initiative and be able to prioritise and manage your time effectively.
  • The mindset to be trustworthy, reliable and punctual with aflexible approach to working hours and the ability to manage a teamof at least 4+ multi skilled engineersto flex around the requirementsof the business
  • The experience of quality improvements and meeting specifications, whilst understanding the importance of customer care.
  • Experience with standards of quality, food safety, hygiene and housekeeping within their area appropriate to a quality food manufacturer.
  • Be able to ensure compliance is achieved in all aspects of factory culture, Legionella, BRC audits, etc.
It would be desirable that you will also have:
  • At least 3 years experience within an engineering management position.
  • Safety qualifications e.g. NEBOSH / IOSH
  • An understandingof LEAN manufacturing and BRC audit requirements.
