Teaching Assistant - Aspiring Youth Criminal Justice Worker - Mental Health - Devon Would you like to work with young people who need support with their social, emotional mental health Do you have aspirations to work on youth criminal justice If so, then this role is not to be missed.The School: Teaching Assistant - Aspiring Youth Criminal Justice Worker - Mental HealthThe school is based in Okehampton and provides support for children aged 9-16 years who have a range of learning and behavioural needs due to social, emotional and mental health challenges. All students that attend the school have a designated EducationHealth Care Plan (EHCP) which details their specific needs in terms of the care and support they will have access to. The school provides a safe learning environment for children who suffer with high levels of anxiety which can result in a lack of focus andchallenging behaviour. The school also provides therapies such as occupational therapy, physiotherapy, music, speech and language therapies where these are part of the young persons EHCP. The curriculum team works closely with therapists to ensure the correctphysical and emotional support is available at all times.
