About Practice Oakwood Eyecare are an independent Optician and has been established for 27 years and was joined by Alvaston Opticians in 2007 and Kimberley Opticians in 2011 - all providing a trusted and highly reputable service to the local community.This means we take the time to get to know our patients, ensuring we find the right eyecare solutions for them, never compromising on quality. We have a loyal base of patients, who trust us to take care of them and their eyecare needs - this reputation isparamount to us.Due to our continued growth and success, we are looking for a Dispensing Optician to join the team. Whats the Opportunity This is a fantastic opportunity for you to join a close-knit, experienced, and friendly team with the chance to work across all 3 practices.As a Dispensing Optician working for Oakwood Eyecare, youll be providing an outstanding patient experience, maintaining the high standards which the practice is known for, as well as working with some fantastic designer brands, including:

  • Joules
We are looking for a DO who wants to deliver the best products with the best customer service. the successful candidate needs an eye for the whole process - from training staff, developing and choosing our product range, PR for the practice, and most importantly,guiding and motivating the team to deliver the standard of care and attention we have always been know for!Teamwork needs to be your priority, and that means leading from the front. Although being aware of our statistics is important, we expect you to spend more time making things happen than pouring over spreadsheets.So you will gain professional freedom to use the products you know are right for the job, the chance to change the future for the team as we evolve in an ever changing marketplace, and variety in your work, supported by a team of other DOs and OAs, aswell as an administration team.were looking for someone who is also:
