Job Description

Finance AdministratorImmediate start, providing successful interview, excellent shift pattern working 09:00 - 17:00 Monday to Friday, straight permanent position. This is a great opportunity for a Finance Administrator to take their career to the next step, and toalso join a growing company.Proactive Personnel is working closely with an ever expanding leading company within their industry.You will receive - Finance Administrator:

  • Negotiable salary ranging from £20,000 - £28,000.
  • On site parking.
  • Room to progress.
Responsibilities - Finance Administrator:
  • Preparing and sending client invoices
  • Completing daily and monthly bank reconciliation
  • Chasing outstanding invoices/debts
  • Payment of bills
  • Managing receipts and petty cash handling
  • Assist company accountant with VAT and tax matters
  • Assisting with payroll
  • Setting up new clients/credit checks
  • Review locum staff invoices
  • Assisting setting up new client management system to allow staff to produce work on their own invoices
  • Review the above system and suggest methods for improving efficiency
  • Provide administrative support to ensure efficient operation of office, including administrative duties such as answering phones, filing, typing, copying, binding, scanning etc.
  • Assists the Office Manager, Directors, Official Veterinarians and Certification Support Officers when required.
  • Provides information by answering questions and requests.
  • Other administrative work as and when required.
Desired Skills - Finance Administrator:
  • Excellent verbal and written communication - able to demonstrate polite and professional communication via phone, e-mail, and mail.

  • Accuracy and attention to detail is critical, as is the ability to accurately record information

  • Able to produce concise and accurate reports
  • Minimum of 5 GCSEs graded A-C including English and Maths
  • Minimum 3 years previous Finance Administrator experience including knowledge of VAT, payroll and receipt management
  • Good computer literacy skills, including excellent working knowledge of appropriate software including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Adobe Acrobat
  • Knowledge of accounting software such as Quick books, Xero etc, ideally including Freeagent and Vtiger
