We have a fantastic opportunity for a proactive Engineering Manager to lead a team of approximately 15 employees at our Nuneaton site. This is a great opportunity to join the senior management team and shape the future direction of the engineering department.Saputo Dairy UK is a producer of leading British food brands and value-added ingredients. We produce a wide range of market leading brands, including Cathedral City cheese, Clover dairy spread, Country Life butter and Frylight cooking spray. We also manufacture specialised ingredients for use in infant formula.What you’ll do at Saputo Dairy UK• Responsible for the leadership, organisation, control and development of the engineering team.• Deliver site performance improvement through development of the site’s Maintenance Management, Project Management, Best Practice share/innovation and Continuous Improvement.• Develop and implement comprehensive training and development plans for the engineering team.• Build strong working relationships as an integral part of the Senior Leadership Team to deliver improvements in site efficiencies and key performance improvements. • Ensure that all statutory requirements are met and audits/accreditations are achieved against all relevant legislative standards.• To prepare, analyse and forecast capital expenditure and engineering department R&M budget requirements.Who’s right for the roleEssential• At least 5 years senior management experience within a FMCG / food manufacturing company and a minimum HND qualification.• Excellent project management capability, and delivery, and the ability to think “outside of the box”.• Strong problem solving techniques using LEAN, TPM or continuous improvement methodology.• Good working knowledge of process/packaging and associated legal requirements.• Ability to utilise CMMS data to drive performance and reliability improvement.Desirable• Ideally qualified to chartered engineer or equivalent.• NEBOSH qualification would be desirable.What can Saputo Dairy UK do for you• Development opportunities• Attractive workplace pension scheme and company bonus• Free, onsite parking• Discounted branded products• Subsidised staff restaurant• 25 Holidays + 8 bank holidays• Discounted rates at Nuffield Health• My Staff shop - access to exclusive benefits, free advice and savings - providing great discounts from thousands of the UKs largest retailers & service providers.
