Job Description

Our fabulous client is looking for a Private Client Senior Manager to pro actively manage a varied portfolio. No time sheets either!The Private Client Senior Manager role will be based at their newly built and purpose built offices on the outskirts of Nottingham, within easy commuting of Nottinghamshire, Lincolnshire, Stamford, Oakham, A1 and all LE15 postcodes with home working actively supported.In this dynamic and fast-growing firm and as a Private Client Senior Manager youll be working with a range of multi-national clients supporting and ensuring they have a successful journey in the UK, by helping them to:

    • In their own words they are ""Better than Big", love what we do and have the right team".They also advise on VAT, corporate, personal and employment taxes plus audit and accountancy matters with established teams in these areas.ABOUT THE ROLEThis is a hands-on advisory focused role for any Private Client Senior Manager wanting a more flexible working environment. It also represents a fantastic opportunity for or experienced Private Client Manager wanting to take the next step in their career. There is real progression to Head of Department for the right candidate and the client is actively looking for that ability in the successful recruit.
  • Pro actively managing an advisory portfolio

  • Managing the personal tax compliance portfolio:
  • Managing annual compliance for P11D reporting
  • Supervision and on-the-job-training of junior staff/trainees
  • Managing client take-on process
  • Billing/WIP management
    • ABOUT YOUQualifications
  • CTA, ATT, ACA, CA qualified or HMRC trained
    • The ideal Private Client Senior Manager will have the following experience
  • Experience of advisory work
  • Experience of international tax an advantage
  • Experience of using IRIS an advantage
  • Experience in practice and/or in-house
  • Managing a personal tax compliance portfolio, including review of self-assessment tax returns prepared by other members of the team
  • Correspondence with HMRC regarding appeals and negotiations to mitigate penalties
  • HMRC clearances
  • Disclosures to HMRC regarding retrospective tax obligations
    • Other skills and abilities
  • Super organised
  • Ability to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team
  • Performance management of team members
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to manage a variety of tasks simultaneously
  • Ability to work independently and take initiative with minimum supervision
  • Ability to identify issues and find solutions
  • Meeting fee and recoverability targets /managing WIP
    • WORKING HOURSThe working hours are 37.5 hours (pro-rated) per week. Family friendly working hours, which are flexible across the week.ANNUAL LEAVE28 days per year (pro-rated), plus statutory holidays.SALARYSalary very dependent on qualifications and experience but in the region £50k plus+ DIS/Life Insurance+ Private health insurance+ Free on-site parkingGenuine Work-life balance friendly working hours.Our client is also open to having exploratory conversations with current Private Client Senior Managers or experienced Managers looking for that next step, ahead of any formal interviews.
