Head of Product Security / Lead Software Security Engineer / Head of Sec OpsAre you passionate about Security and Software Would you like to work in an environment where security is taken seriously and security breaches could potentially lead to not only financial but risk to life consequences Do you want to own product and platform security for an industry leading software business who are well established and have been recognised for their innovation and technical capability If that sounds of interest you would be joining them at the start of their next exciting period. They changed ownership for the first time last year, after 15 years growth led by the founders they have now been invested in by a leading tech investment busines with the aim of turbo charging their growth over the next 3-5 years. To achieve this goal they have recently put a new leadership team in place and now have many years of experience of taking tech businesses on fast growth journey. As the Head of Product Security you will be responsible for the full product suite (currently 6) and the Cloud Platforms these applications are delivered via. You will be working with the development and operations teams to coach, guide and plan the security strategy and to manage the operational security requirements. This organisation has circa 40 in development and this number is set to grow as they replatform and look at various growth options, you will be responsible for all security matters regarding code and infrastructure as well as supporting external facing teams with presales support of consultancy. The role would suit an experienced security professional who has experience of working in a software environment or it would suit a senior developer who has a passion for security and wants to make a move into full time platform security. Areas of responsibility Azure cloud security tooling Selection and Implementation of wider security tooling including WAF, IDS and Av toolsYou will also own DevSecOps process and the tooling in the Azure environment.To continually push security testing approaches and own the operational testing exercises.Lead the business plans to evolve technical control maturity in preparation for ISO 27001, Cyber Essentials, Cyber Essentials+, other recognised international certifications. The role will require you to be based out of either their Nottingham or Glasgow offices, however significant work from home flexibility will be allowed.
