Job Description

CAD CAM Programmer, CAD Programmer, CAM Programmer, Offline Programmer, NC Programmer, CNC Programmer, DelCAM, FeatureCAM, MasterCAM, AlphaCAM, NX, Engineering, Manufacturing, CNC, Aerospace, Motorsport, Automotive, Defence, Oil & Gas, Nuclear, Location: Nottingham, Position: Permanent, Salary: £35,000 - £40,000 p.a depending on experienceCAD CAM Programmer - Nottinghamshire, PermanentEMBS is working on an exclusive basis, supporting our prestigious client who is currently experiencing a strong trajectory of growth following new project wins and longstandingexisting customer relationships.After recent investment (both in personnel and software) the Programming department is now searching for x2 new recruits to join as CAD CAM Programmers, where you will be supporting their existing, very talented team of engineersby producing NC Programs for multi axis Milling & Turning machines.Our client is known for their advanced manufacturing capabilities, producingcomplex, detailed components for various industries, supplying to lucrative customers across the globe.This role is working on a permanent basis, located at their site in Nottinghamshire.Applicants MUST be able to demonstrate:

  • Strong machining knowledge - Essential
  • Machined or created detailed components for the Aerospace, Nuclear, MOD, Oil & Gas orMotorsport industries - Essential
  • Ability to program online using Fanuc controls - Advantageous
  • Ability to create NC programs offlineusing CAM packages for both CNC Milling & Turning machines - Essential
  • Experience using CAD packages to perform design of jigs, fixtures and tooling - Desirable
  • Experience using FeatureCAM - desirable, however other packages will be considered
  • Ability to prove out, verify, re-visit and amendprograms using Vericut - Essential
  • Work from solid models - Essential
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings - Essential
    • We are willing to consider both experienced, highly skilled CAD CAM Engineers with plenty of experience, as well as junior individuals who may only have 6-12 months CAD CAM Programming experience or even had only a small amount of exposure but possess a strong foundation of machining knowledge, can set operate and programmeand are therefore seeking development and growth within Offline Programming.In return the client is offering:
  • Stability & Longevity - Permanent position
  • Competitive salary: £35,000 - £40,000 p.a depending on experience
