Job Description

I am currently recruiting for a Business Support Administrator on behalf of my client, a leading public sector organisation based in Nottingham (NG21).You will spend the majority of your time at Mansfield Day Services however will be asked to cover over at Ashfield Day Services as and when necessary.Both sites support a wide group of people, from 18 years old and upwards with a range of needs (learning disabilities, physical disabilities, older adults and mental health).The day service supports a wide range of adult clients who have a range of disabilities - learning disabilities, complex health care needs, older people, people living with dementia and people with physical disabilities and mental health needs. Youare the only business support member at the site and will be supporting a large team. You will have the support of other business support colleagues but they are based at other sites.Duties of the Business Support Administrator will include:

  • Dealing with various payments (budgets, lunch money, petty cash etc)
  • Arranging transport
  • Making records and passing on information
  • Dealing with staff paperwork
  • To provide advice and guidance to customers, business partners and others on business processes and operational service issues
  • Responsible for the organisation of meetings and events including booking venues, issuing invitations and papers and taking minutes.
To be successful in this role, you will have:
  • Excellent communication skills – dealing with a range of people - service users, family members, team leaders, managers etc
  • Excellent ICT skills – a big part is inputting data onto systems and spreadsheets so need to be confident using various systems and understand the need to be accurate and timely inputting.
  • Personable, friendly, patient and hardworking.
  • Be able to manage workload, able to prioritise and the ability to be flexible as planned work can change quickly.
