Job Description

Sports Coach with Teaching Assistant Responsibilities Area: NottinghamSalary: £80-90 a day (varied depending on experience and qualifications)Hours of work: 37.5 hours a weekStart date: ImmediateDo you have a passion for sports Do you want to change the lives of young people and be a positive role modelMonarch Education are recruiting for a school in central Nottingham who are looking for a Sports Coach to take both a sports and classroom based role. The role will give the individual the chance to both assist students in Physical Education and other lessonsas well as the opportunity to support their personal development.The main duties within this role will be:

  • Assisting within PE lessons/Sports
  • Working with children in the classroom setting
  • Working with students one to one
  • Acting as a positive role model to students
  • Taking an interest in and supporting the well being of students
  • Supporting children with challenging behaviour to engage in class
The school are looking for someone who:
  • Has experience working with young people, this could be as a Sports Coach, Dance Leader, Scout Leader or something similar
  • Holds either a Teaching assistant or sports coach qualification
  • Can engage children in and out of the classroom
  • Feels confident managing challenging behaviour
  • Has a can-do positive attitude
