Role; Software Engineer (C#/ PHP/ JavaScript/ Java etc)Location/ Working arrangement; Nottingham City Centre/ Flexible hybrid model between office and client site when needed, no fixed days, but roughly once per week in the office/ site in average.Salary; up to £70k plus benefitsDo you feel like the smartest person in the room at most of the places where youve workedAre you bored and feel like there should be more of a challenge out there, somewhereFed up of always working on the same productIf you answered yes to at least one of those questions, then read on!I am working with a consultancy who are excellent at what they do.Their cross-functional Agile teams are drafted into companies who have a software problem, as subject matter experts, to fix them for them. So, they only hire the best of the best- people who have honed their chosen craft, want variety, plenty of interesting challenges, and problems to efficiently solve. You will have them all to knowledge share with, to collaborate with, and have a laugh with!Because of the nature of the business, no day or client is the same, so any Engineer that joins them gets lots of variety in terms of tech stack, people to interact with, problems to solve and things to learn. The business model does also mean that they cant offer full remote working, as there will always be some problems that cant be solved from home, or meetings that dont work virtually, so flexibility around working arrangements is a must for anyone consideringworking there. They are hiring a lot of people to keep up with the growing demand for their services, so they need you.It doesnt matter if youve specialised in a particular language or tech stack- such as C#, JavaScript/ TypeScript, Java, PHP, Python, etc- or if youre a polyglot, as long as you have bags of passion, skills and enthusiasm, they want to talk to you!As you can imagine, they strongly adhere to best practice in everything they do, so using concepts such as design patterns, SOLID principles, Test Driven Development (TDD), etc is very important to them- you will need to be happy using these. They have several ways to disseminate knowledge throughout their teams, such as a company technical podcast, their own meetup, and lunch and learn sessions. Also, when you are on the bench- between projects- you are encouraged to upskill and learn as muchas you can to better aid you on your next project. If this sounds right up your street, apply now or drop me a line today to find out more!
