Job Description

Nottingham City Homes are looking to recruit three suitably experienced and qualified Roofers to join our Property department.RooferSalary: £28,226 - £30,095 per annum Hours: 37 hours per week3 x 9-month fixed term contracts Are you ready to help our tenants get the most out of their homesThe successful applicants will work on our Maintaining Decency workstream projecton properties within Nottingham City Boundaries. Our tenants are at the heart of what we do and whether youre working alone, with other trades or alongside tenants, we willrely on you to deliver an efficient, safe and friendly service of the highest quality.Duties include:

  • You will be responsible for carrying out a wide range of roofing works, including carefully strip old roofs and installing new roof coverings
  • You will be required to be competent on repair work on major refurbishments, must be able to work on facia and soffit renewals along with guttering and lead works
  • Working on both internal and external, domestic and commercial properties
  • Completing cross trade duties across a variety of trades when required
  • Using the necessary power tools and plant safely, as well as the ability to follow all safety procedures on site.
You will ideally hold a suitable qualification such as City & Guilds Advanced Crafts or NVQ 3, or evidence of qualification by experience.Naturally, you will have experience in repairs, new build or a contract environment, including assessing and inspecting jobs, carrying out good quality roofing and associated works and great customer service skills.A full UK driving license and access to a vehicle is essential for this role.Salary and benefits:In exchange for your hard work you will receive a fantastic benefits package that includes:
