Job Description

Lead Site Reliability Engineer | Nottingham | To £75k (DOE)I am currently working alongside one of the most exciting software companies in the UK as they look to expand their growing infrastructure team with a Lead Site Reliability Engineer. Our SaaS client are looking to bring in an expert in this area and arelooking for the best local SRE to join their team.Your background will have seen you getting hands on in senior infrastructure positions, technology management and leadership. Youll need to have a background in software engineering and system engineering where you have worked on complex and large scaleautomation tasks. You will need to have experience working with containerisation technologies, monitoring, logging, and alerting, databases, networks, and service-oriented architecture.This position will see you liaising with stakeholders of varying seniorities across multiple teams in the business so youll need to have solid communication skills. You will ideally have come from a DevOps/Site Reliability Engineer background where youhave encountered on-premise infrastructure. Youll need to have a strong and diverse technical background to be successful in this role.I am looking to speak to people with the following technological experience:

  • Cloud technologies (AWS and Azure)
  • Database Technologies (MSSQL, PostgreSQL, MySQL, NoSQL)
  • Application monitoring tools (CloudTrail, CloudWatch, Application Insights, New Relic)
  • Containerisation, scripting, and tooling (Docker, Terraform, Kubernetes)
  • Linux & Windows OS
  • Cisco-based network technologies
Youll have experience of the full SDLC and be looking to step into a Lead role in a growing company.
