Job Description

Are you a qualified Teaching Assistant or the holder of a relevant childcare degree Are you looking for a role as a teaching assistant starting as soon as possible.We are working with a local school based in the NG8 area in Nottihngham who have immediate requirements for a Teaching Assistants to provide classroom and 1:1 support for their pupils. They are looking for adaptable, flexible and resourceful individuals to work in a stimulating environment who are able to adapt to constantly changing priorities.You will be required to:

  • Work with classroom teachers to deliver excellent teaching and learning
  • Lead and support pupils during non structured times
  • Accompany groups on weekly swimming trips
  • Work with small groups and deliver interventions in maths and English
  • Support assessment and evidence learning
  • Create stimulating classroom displays and learning environment
  • Report any safeguarding concerns to the relevant people in school
  • Create opportunities for all learners to thrive
  • Support children on a 1:1 basis who require additional support
    • The ideal candidate will have:
  • A relevant teaching Assistant qualification or childcare degree
  • Previous school based experience
  • The ability to work on their own initiative
  • Good communication skills with adults and children
  • A solid undertsanding of the KS1 or KS2 curriculum
  • Knowledge on how to support pupils with SEN
