Job Description

NHS Administrator Job Type: TemporarySector: HealthcareDuration: Expected to last two monthsOffice Location: Bulwell, NottinghamParking info: Off site (the street next to the building)Travel: NoneBand: 3Pay Rates: £12 paye inclusive of Holiday payWorking days and hours: Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours, 9am-5pmSystm One Knowledge would be Desirable Job Summary

  • Competent in the use of MS Office products: Word, Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Competent in the use of telecommunication systems
  • Experience of dealing with complex electronic filing systems
  • Support and advise colleagues and junior staff within the department
  • Prioritise and respond to planned and unplanned situations on a daily basis
  • Reorganise and reprioritise workload within the team according to the level of departmental activity
Qualification, Skills and Experience
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills at all levels
  • Articulate, assured and customer focused telephone manner.
  • Effective and efficient communication with colleagues, to ensure smooth running of the department, with managers and staff from other departments within the Trust and with representatives from outside organisations.
  • Ability to work as part of a team.
  • Appropriate handling of sensitive/confidential information
  • Professional qualifications (desirable, not essential)
  • RSA Level II/III Text/Word Processing (or equivalent)
  • Knowledge of secretarial and administration procedures, acquired through NVQ III qualification or training/experience to equivalent level (i.e. at least 2 years in secretarial/PA type role)
